The Lakers are signing shooting guard Bryce Hamilton and waiving guard/forward LJ Figueroa, per Marc Spears of Andscape.
Hamilton, 21, is 6-foot-4 and went undrafted out of UNLV, then signed on with the Heat for summer league. Last years as a college senior, he averaged 21.8 points and 5.0 rebounds, earning All-Mountain West honors.
Figueroa, 24, is 6-6 and went undrafted out of Oregon in 2021, signing a training camp deal with the Warriors. He was promptly waived, spending his first two pro seasons with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League. This past summer, he played for the Hornets’ summer entry.
Both Hamilton and Figueroa are likely headed for the G League’s South Bay Lakers.
