With the offseason plenty busy for Tom Izzo and his Michigan State basketball team, as they still continue to try to complete the end of their roster. The Big Ten slate for the 2025-26 has officially been released

The 2025 Big Ten Champions certainly know they are the hunted heading into next season. Their conference schedule certainly provides that. But knowing Tom Izzo, his motto seems to always be 'Play Anyone, Anytime, Anywhere.'

Spartan Basketball will do just that next season.

It's a perk when you get to play the best teams in your league at home. And in many cases in 2025-26, the Spartans will get a lot of the top teams at Breslin Center.

They get Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Northwestern, Ohio State, UCLA, USC, Michigan, Indiana, and Rutgers in East Lansing next season.

The Bruins, Trojans, and Hoosiers were the three teams that were able to beat the Spartans last season when they won the Big Ten outright with a 17-3 conference record.

The losses to UCLA and USC both came outwest. They will be must-see games when they both travel to the Breslin Center for the first time. Not to mention, former Spartan Xavier Booker will make his return to face his former team when they meet.

Meanwhile, the Spartans will have to buckle up for their road slate with trips to Minnesota, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, Washington, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, and Rutgers.

Having to go to Mackey to face Purdue is going to be the hardest, given MSU hasn't won there since the 2013-14 season. It has been Coach Izzo's dungeon of horror. Plus, those road visits to Madison and Eugene are going to be interesting.

Time will tell, but it isn't any easy path to repeat, but it never is in the Big Ten, especially in basketball. If they can find a way to be at the top again, they will have earned it.
