No. 7 Arizona beats No. 3 UCLA in battle of top 10s

The No. 7 Arizona Wildcats exacted their revenge against the No. 3 UCLA Bruins with a decisive 76-66 victory just a week after the Bruins handed the Wildcats a loss.

On Jan. 26, UCLA beat Arizona, 75-59, in a game that was never closer than seven points in the second half. The script was flipped Thursday when Arizona led by as many as 17 and never relinquished the lead after taking it less than five minutes into the first half.

Arizona had five different players finish with double figures, and the team collectively shot 48.0 percent from the field.

UCLA made 38.9 percent of its field goals and made just three of 14 three-point attempts.

The win moves the Wildcats into first place in the Pac-12 with an 8-1 conference record, while UCLA sits just behind at 8-2. The No. 19 USC Trojans aren't far behind at 8-3 and have a chance to further close the gap if they can beat the floundering Arizona State Sun Devils on Thursday night.

Arizona's last regular-season Pac-12 title came in 2018, while UCLA's came in 2013. The Bruins have the all-time lead with 31 conference titles, largely thanks to a streak of 13 straight titles during John Wooden's time as UCLA's coach.
