Hubert Davis and his staff at North Carolina are working tirelessly to assemble a roster that can compete at the top of the ACC standings and make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.
Following a season where the Tar Heels went 23-14 and fell in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, Davis just keeps stacking talent.
The Tar Heels have tapped into the NCAA transfer portal and built a strong recruiting class among the top 20 in the country, according to 247Sports' rankings.
The latest news, however, is from within the team's ranks. Inside Carolina is reporting that former four-star recruit Zayden High will return to the team after missing last season due to an off-the-court issue.
Zayden High is expected to return as a member of the UNC basketball team for next season, after sitting out this past season.

High originally enrolled at Chapel Hill but later elected to step away from the program. He has since re-enrolled at the school and will be part of the 2025-26 squad.
The product of Compass Prep in Arizona saw limited action during the 2023-24 season at North Carolina, playing just 108 minutes in 23 games and averaging 0.8 points per game.
High will look to help replace some of the production lost by the six players who entered the NCAA transfer portal. Ian Jackson (St. John's), Jalen Washington (Vanderbilt) and Elliot Cadeau (Michigan) have made their commitments, while Jae’Lyn Withers, Ven-Allen Lubin and Cade Tyson remain in the portal after leaving Chapel Hill.
The Tar Heels currently have five incoming transfers including Jarin Stevenson (Alabama), Henri Veesaar (Arizona), Kyan Evans (Colorado State), Jaydon Young (Virginia Tech) and Jonathan Powell (West Virginia).
