It has been a rough 24 hours for the Ole Miss Rebels as junior forward Jaemyn Brakefield and sophomore guard James White both announced plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal on Sunday.

Their decisions come a day after freshman guard Amaree Abram declared that he would be entering the portal.

On3 was the first to report Brakefield's decision and White made his announcement via Twitter.

Brakefield, a former 4 star recruit, has spent the last two seasons with the Rebels after beginning his collegiate career with the Duke Blue Devils. Brakefiled played a significant role for Ole Miss this season averaging 11.1 PPG, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists while shooting 53.7 percent from the field and 35.1 percent from beyond the arc.

White only averaged 2.2 PPG in 17 games as a freshman but saw increased playing time down the stretch this season and scored a career-high 14 points against the Missouri Tigers on March 4.

The exodus out of Ole Miss comes on the heels of Kermit Davis' firing from the Rebels' head coaching position last month, and the coaching search at Ole Miss has been the headline-grabber in recent weeks. Per reports, Ole Miss has likely narrowed its search to center on former Texas Longhorns head coach Chris Beard, a premier name in the coaching industry whose personal life became news in 2022.
