OU Basketball: Oklahoma's Javian McCollum Nails Game-Winner in Bedlam Finale
Chris Jones-USA TODAY Sports

STILLWATER — Oklahoma got (presumably) the last laugh in one of college basketball’s most storied rivalries Saturday afternoon.

Against an expiring clock — and down a point — Oklahoma guard Javian McCollum silenced the crowd at Gallagher-Iba Arena when he hit a game-winning 3-pointer from the left wing to lift Oklahoma past Oklahoma State 84-82 in overtime.

Cowboys guard John-Michael Wright had just hit the go-ahead 3-pointer from the right corner to put OSU up 82-81 with 1:28 left in overtime.

But McCollum stunned the crowd with his dagger.

McCollum finished with 14 points. Before his game-winner in a sea of orange, he had made just 1-of-8 from the 3-point line.

Sooners guard Rivaldo Soares, who was questionable before the game with an ankle injury he suffered against Baylor last week, led OU with 20 points and played over 28 minutes in the start.

Quion Williams, Javon Small and Eric Dailey Jr. led the Cowboys with 21, 21 and 20 points, respectively.
