Penn State men's basketball cancels third straight game due to COVID-19

The Penn State men's basketball team hasn't played since Dec. 11 in a loss to Michigan State. Now, they won't be taking the court again until 2022.

The Nittany Lions' contest against the VCU scheduled for Dec. 18 was canceled, as was their game against Quinnipiac, slated for Dec. 22. Penn State's next game is now scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Jan. 2 against Indiana.

The Nittany Lions are off to a 5-5 start this season under first-year head coach Micah Shrewsberry. Seth Lundy leads the team in scoring at 14.7 points per game, while John Harrar leads in rebounding and is averaging a double-double with 11.4 points per game and 10.6 rebounds per contest.

Jalen Pickett is scoring 11.9 points per game and averages a team-best 4.4 assists per contest.
