Report: Cincinnati Missing Multiple Key Players Against Oklahoma
© Mike Watters-USA TODAY Sports

The injury bug just won't leave Cincinnati alone this season as the basketball team is without key players in leading rebounder Viktor Lakhin (ankle) for the Oklahoma game and CJ Fredrick (hamstring).

Dan Skillings Jr. (hip) suffered the injury leading up to this past weekend's game against Kansas State, while Lakhin twisted his ankle in the final minutes of the contest.

The Enquirer’s Scott Springer reported the news.

Getting their leading scorer back on the floor is a nice balance in the storm as UC needs his length.

Cincinnati was outrebounded 37-27 against KSU without Skillings (6.4 rebounds per game) but got efficient, low-turnover outings across the roster to make up for it.

If UC loses on Tuesday, their at-large hopes for a 2024 NCAA Tournament berth are basically finished.
