Former Cincinnati Bearcats basketball guard Cashmere Wright is the newest head boy's basketball coach at Walnut Hills High School in Cincinnati.

WCPO's Mike Dyer reported the news as Wright takes the next step in his coaching career. Wright was a member of the UC program from 2009-13.

He is UC's career steals leader with 198, games played leader with 139 and is the only player in school history with more than 1,300 points, 475 assists, and 175 steals.

Wright coached the Nasty Nati UC alumni team in The Basketball Tournament last year. The outfit is taking a year off from the competition this summer.
