Richie Saunders will Return to BYU after Testing the Transfer Waters
Dylan Widger-USA TODAY Sports

Richie Saunders will return to BYU after entering the Transfer Portal to find a potential new home. He is a big asset to the Cougars and saw that he will still be under Coach Young.

Richie Saunders is a great get back for BYU as he was looking to leave when Mark Pope took the job at Kentucky. Saunders is that come off the bench and change the game kind of guy. Cougar Nation is glad to have him back and is ready to come back and be a starter this year under a new head coach. Saunders played in 68 games and had 514 points with 221 rebounds. He is known for his almost corner three pointer in the opening minutes of a game to spark the Cougars offense.

This return comes after a two day visit to Kentucky with his head coach Mark Pope. Saunders is the first one to announce his return to BYU with Kevin Young. This comes after he entered the portal. The others to enter are Dallin Hal l, Aly Khalifa (Louisville), and Atiki Ally Atiki. The Cougars hope they get Hall back to give them some more depth on the court and another leader on the floor.
