With the transfer portal entrance window finally shut, teams are now focused on rebuilding their rosters with those available in the portal, and Robert Morris is one of those programs.

Looking to refill a depleted roster, head coach Andy Toole and the Colonials added three pieces for the future this past weekend.

The ball started rolling with junior college transfer Amarion Dickerson announcing his commitment on Friday with three years of eligibility remaining.

Dickerson — a 6-foot-7 guard/forward — spent last season in the JUCO ranks with Mineral Area College where he put together 12.6 points a night on 47.3 percent from the field and 36.5 percent beyond the arc. He also grabbed 6.4 rebounds and blocked 2.4 shots per game.

The Cleveland, Ohio native’s first season with the Cardinals saw him score 7.2 points per game, while converting on 53.3 percent from the field and adding 3.9 rebounds per contest.

Dickerson brings size and versatility to the Colonials as he can move downhill and attack the rim, along with adding a potential outside shot.

Previously, Dickerson committed to the College of Charleston, but reopened his recruitment at the end of March after then head coach Pat Kelsey was hired at Louisville.

The rising junior picked RMU over the likes of Stony Brook, Marshall, UTEP, UTSA and others.

RMU then followed up Dickerson’s commitment by adding Akron transfer Ryan Prather Jr. on Saturday.

The 6-foot-5, 210-pound wing entered the portal a little over a week ago and quickly decided to make RMU home with three season of eligibility remaining.

After redshirting in 2022-23 with the Zips, Prather Jr. appeared in 15 games off the bench this past season.

In 5.2 minutes of work per game, the guard averaged 1.7 points per game as he connected on 9 of 19 shots (47.4 percent), while adding three triples on 12 attempts. He added 13 total rebound and five assists.

The Clarksburg, Md. native is the all-time leading scorer at Clarksburg High School after spending three seasons with the school. He would then finish off his high school career at Bishop Walsh before taking a post-grad year with Liberty Heights Athletic Institute in Charlotte, N.C.

Robert Morris’ weekend was capped off with a commitment from Arkansas-Pine Bluff transfer Ismael Plet as he will spend his final season of eligibility with the Colonials.

A 6-foot-8 forward, Plet started 24 games this past season for the Golden Lions where he averaged 7.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. He converted on 59.1 percent of his shots from the floor.

During the previous season, Plet appeared in 21 games — starting 18 — as he contributed 4.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game as he sank 50.7 percent of his shots.

Prior to Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Plet spent two seasons with Oral Roberts where he played in 30 total games, averaging just four minutes and under a point per game.

A native of the Netherlands, Plet will provide valuable size to the frontcourt as someone who can create near the rim and can be deployed in the pick-and-roll game.

Plet-Prather Jr.-Dickerson make up commits two-three-four for the Colonials after landing Gannon (DII) transfer Josh Omojafo on April 16.

Robert Morris was hit hard by the transfer portal again with the departures of TJ Wainwright, Jackson Last, Josh Corbin, Stephaun Walker, Alfredo Boglio and Ben Krystkowiak.

With the additions of Plet and Dickerson, the Colonials will have a potential frontcourt featuring the two transfers, along with Trey James, Alvaro Folgueiras, redshirt freshman Antallah Sandlin-El and Chris Ford.

The backcourt, as of now, will be Omojafo, Prather Jr. and Justice Williams as the Colonials continue to look for more depth at the one and two.
