Stanford drops fifth-straight, Utah wins big over the Cardinal
Rob Gray-USA TODAY Sports

If it wasn't already obvious the wheels are falling off the bus for Stanford, who has now lost five straight.

The latest 90-68 loss comes at the hands of Utah, who they had beaten earlier in the year. In the month of February alone, they have gone 2-7 with five of the losses coming against teams that they had already beaten this season.

As they have been over the past few games, Stanford was cold from behind the arc. They went just 4-of-15 from three, and were out-rebounded 40-29. Michael Jones led the way in scoring with 20 points, while their freshmen Kanaan Carlyle added 10, and Andrej Stojakovic who started in place of Spencer Jones had 13.

As for Utah, they got 21 points from Cole Bajema, 17 from reserve center Lawson Lovering, and got a triple-double out of Deivon Smith had 13 points, 10 rebounds, 10 and assists.

The Cardinal have just two games remaining in the regular season, as they will head to Boulder to take on Colorado on Sunday and will return home for the season finale next Thursday against Cal.

As for Haase, his seat continues to get warmer and warmer, and the team is clearly lacking inspiration at this point.
