On Tuesday, Pitt may join its sixth top-school list on the basketball recruiting side.

Pitt priority target Derek Dixon, who has visited campus several times, including a recent official visit, is narrowing his list on Tuesday down to six schools.

Dixon is a 6-foot-5 guard out of Washington D.C. Gonzaga Prep. He is a four-star prospect who is now ranked as the No. 58 player in the senior class of 2025, per the 247 Sports Composite ranking. He recently shined at Nike EYBL Peach Jam down in North Augusta, South Carolina, leading Team Takeover to the final four of the prestigious AAU event. Jeff Capel and Milan Brown were both down in the gym watching Dixon play on several recent occasions.

Dixon already took an official visit to Pitt, and has several visits lined up to other schools for this upcoming fall. He will visit Vanderbilt starting on Aug. 30, as well as North Carolina on Sept. 6 and Arizona on Sept. 13.
