WVU transfers Joe Toussaint and Mohamed Wague continue to receive Power-5 interest in the portal. Toussaint is currently on a visit to Texas Tech and Wague is at DePaul.

As of Tuesday morning, Toussaint is visiting Kansas State after his Lubbock trip and also has Zoom meeting with Gonzaga and Miami (FL).

Wague tells WV Sports Now that Kansas State and DePaul are recruiting him the hardest. Wague is scheduled to visit both schools this week. Wague has also heard from Alabama, BYU, Cal, Fairfield, Georgetown, Iona, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Oregon, New Mexico State, North Carolina, North Texas, Seton Hall, Temple, UTEP, VCU, Western Kentucky and others.

Toussaint entered the transfer portal on Friday, leaving WVU after one season. Toussaint transferred from Iowa after three years under Fran McCaffrey and inserted himself in a six-man role for Bob Huggins. Toussaint averaged 9.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists in all 34 games for the Mountaineers. Toussaint had memorable performances against Pitt, Iowa State and Texas Tech this past season. Toussaint has expressed interest in a return to West Virginia.

Wague spent the 2022-2023 season as Mountaineer after beginning his college career at Harcum College in Pennsylvania. He appeared in 28 games, averaging 4.1 points per game, 3.1 rebounds per game and shooting 74% from the floor.Like Toussaint, Wague isn’t ruling out a return to WVU.

WVU transfer forward James Okonkwo join Toussaint and Wague as the three available portal entries from the Mountaineers.
