Trevor Keels becomes fourth Duke Blue Devil to enter NBA Draft

On Saturday, Duke freshman Trevor Keels announced his intentions to enter this June's NBA Draft.

Keels is the fourth Duke player to declare for the draft, joining Mark Williams, Wendell Moore and Paolo Banchero. A fifth, AJ Griffin, is also expected to enter the draft.

"Since the season ended, I've done a lot of thinking about my future," Keels said in a post via his Twitter account. "Playing at Duke was a dream and I feel that now is the time to chase another dream. I am excited to enter my name in the 2022 NBA draft. I found a second home at Duke and I'll be riding with The Brotherhood for life."

In his lone season with Duke, Keels averaged 11.5 PPG, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 36 games.

Keels played in all five of Duke's NCAA Tournament games, averaging 9.2 points per contest, in just over 22 minutes a game. His best game came in the Blue Devil's Final Four loss to North Carolina, posting 19 points off 8-of-14 shooting.

A star at Paul VI HS in Virginia, Keels committed to Duke in April 2022. Keels was a five-star recruit out of high school, ranked No. 19 in ESPN's 100.
