It's been a dream season for the UConn women's basketball team so far.
UConn is 31-0 and the top team in the country heading into the Big East tournament. The program will play Georgetown in the quarterfinals on Saturday with a chance to advance to the semifinals.
Before UConn plays in that game, head coach Geno Auriemma was named the Big East Coach of the Year for the job he has done. This is the 14th time that he has gotten this honor.
Auriemma has been the head coach of the program since 1985 and has won 1,281 games. UConn is also on a 47-game winning streak right now, which is tied for the fifth-longest winning streak in Division I women's basketball history.

This is the 11th undefeated regular season in program history and UConn's first since the 2017-18 season. UConn is trying to go back-to-back with a national title after winning it all last year.
Unless something crazy happens at the Big East tournament, the Huskies will likely be the top overall seed in the women's NCAA Tournament when it starts. They're the favorite to win it all.
Sarah Strong has been outstanding for the Huskies this season, averaging 18.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Azzi Fudd has also been great, averaging 17.9 points and three assists per game.
Let's see what the Huskies can do once the tournament starts on Mar. 18. It will conclude on Apr. 5 in Phoenix, Arizona. The Final Four will also be hosted in the same location.
