As the UConn Huskies bask in the glow of their 12th national championship, a new piece has fallen into place.
Wisconsin junior Serah Williams has chosen UConn from the transfer portal, sources confirmed Wednesday.
The 6-foot-4 forward exploded for 19.2 points, 9.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game for the Badgers in 2024-25, while earning All-Big Ten First Team and Defensive Team honors in consecutive seasons (2024 and 2025).
She visited Storrs, Conn., on Tuesday and just one day later officially committed to coach Geno Auriemma’s program.
On Wednesday, Dushawn London of 247Sports confirmed Williams' decision to join the Huskies for the 2025-26 season.

Williams departs Wisconsin with 1,494 career points, 782 rebounds, 211 blocks and 77 steals over 91 games (89 starts).
Despite her individual brilliance, the Badgers limped to a losing record (13-17) in one of the country's toughest leagues last season, a contrast to UConn’s runaway success.
The Huskies posted a 37–3 mark in 2024-25, going 18–0 in Big East play, finished with a top 10 offense (81.7 points per game) and the top-ranked defense (52.2 points per game) and led the nation in scoring margin (29.5 points per game).
On April 6, UConn captured the NCAA title with an 82–59 rout of the South Carolina Gamecocks.
UConn’s frontcourt now boasts Williams alongside freshman standout Sarah Strong, 6-foot-5 center Jana El Alfy and sophomore forward Ice Brady.
At Wisconsin, Williams carried the offense on a flawed roster; at UConn, she joins a championship engine.
With one year of eligibility remaining, Williams will slot into Auriemma’s rotation immediately as UConn remains the program to beat.
