The USC basketball team picked up a much needed win last weekend against Oregon State at home. The Trojans had lost six games in a row coming into the matchup, but they were able to end the streak against the Beavers. USC dominated the entire game and they cruised to an 82-54 win. They needed it bad, and they are now 9-13 overall on the season and 3-8 in Pac-12 play as they hit the road this week for games against Cal and Stanford.

USC basketball has not had the year that they wanted, but there is no point in dwelling on past games now. The Trojans beat Oregon State, and now they are trying to pick up some momentum on this road trip. With tournament hopes essentially out of the question at this point, USC just needs to focus on playing their game, having fun and winning as many games as they can down the stretch.

“Basketball is supposed to be a competitive sport and have some fun doing it,” USC head coach Andy Enfield said after the Oregon State game, according to an article from USC Annenberg Media. “If you lose too much, you don’t have much fun. We hope this is a nice way to start this week on the road.”

Who knows what can happen when USC gets to the Pac-12 tournament. Now, they just need to get some momentum going into it.
