The USC basketball team finally picked up a win over the weekend as they took down Oregon State in blowout fashion. The Trojans ended a six-game losing skid with the victory. It was domination for USC from start to finish as they cruised to an 82-54 win. The Beavers are one of the worst teams in the Pac-12, but it doesn’t matter. The Trojans just needed to win a game, and that’s what they did on Saturday.

USC basketball needed to win this game so bad. They are now 9-13 overall after the win and 3-8 in Pac-12 conference play. They are still in last place in the Pac-12, but this is still a step in the right direction.

“Tonight, I thought we showed a lot of toughness defensively,” USC head coach Andy Enfield said after the game, according to an article from USC Annenberg Media. “First of all, to make them miss and then, secondly, to try and rebound the ball. I thought we were flying around on defense, meaning we were rotating and had energy.”

Now that USC has ended their losing streak, they have an opportunity to start a new streak: a winning streak. The Trojans play at Cal and at Stanford in their next two games. Those are both very winnable games, and it could give this team some much needed momentum.
