Nike Sibande has been a high-flyer since high school.
After playing his prep ball at Crispus Attucks, the Indianapolis native went to Miami Ohio and then transferred to Pitt. After playing a crucial role for the Panthers en route to Jeff Capel’s first NCAA Tournament berth as Pitt’s head coach, Sibande went undrafted and began his professional playing career overseas.
He is not in his second year of professional hoops, and is currently playing in the top league in Europe for Basquet Girona (Spain). Through five games, he is averaging just over five points and three rebounds per game. However, although the stats don’t jump off the page just yet, Sibande himself nearly jumped out of the gym in a recent game. Check out this posterizing dunk he threw down during a game this past week.
