Watch: Kansas survives TCU's upset bid with late bucket by Hunter Dickinson

Hunter Dickinson is right at home in Kansas.

The Jayhawks' prized offseason transfer portal addition scored the winning basket with 3.4 seconds remaining in their 83-81 win over TCU. Kansas entered the game an 8.5-point favorite.

Dickinson finished with 30 points on 13-of-20 shooting — including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc — and 11 rebounds.

It's the second time Dickinson has scored at least 30 points in a game this season and the sixth time overall.

A senior center, Dickinson played at Michigan during his first three seasons (2020-21 to 2022-23) and averaged 17.2 points per game in 94 games. He transferred to Kansas during the offseason.

Entering Saturday, he had started 13 games for the Jayhawks this season. He averaged 18.5 points on a career-best 60.5 percent from the field, including 52 percent from three, and 12.5 rebounds, also the most in his four-year collegiate career.

Associated Press No. 2 Kansas (13-1) is one of the favorites to win the 2024 NCAA Tournament. Per ESPNBet, the Jayhawks (+1200) are tied with 2023 national champion UConn for the third-shortest odds to win this year's tournament.
