Sometimes miracles just aren't meant to happen, but in college basketball, even mistakes can result in success.
Saturday night Lamar men's basketball was tied 68-68 with UT-Rio Grande Valley (despite an incorrect score bug on ESPN's end) with just 1.5 seconds remaining in regulation.
Senior Ja'Sean Jackson launched an inbounds pass that nearly landed out of bounds on the other end of the floor. Jackson's heave hit the backboard and landed right in the hands of his teammate Andrew Holifield who put back the game-winning bucket as the clock expired.
OH. MY. GOODNESS.

The Cardinals from Beaumont, Texas escaped with the 70-68 victory over the Vaqueros, now having won five of their last six contests.
At 14-10 they now move into fourth place in the Southland Conference, keeping their NCAA Tournament hopes alive in these final weeks of the regular season.
UTRGV (13-11) continued its plummet in the conference, losing back-to-back games and four of its last five.
