Saturday night will be memorable for LSU punt returner Malik Nabers. The sophomore returner had two costly turnovers on special teams for the Tigers against the Florida State Seminoles. Nabers had trouble catching two punts in the 24-23 loss.

First-year head coach Brian Kelly named Nabers the team’s return man earlier this week. Nabers will have to work on caring for the football if LSU continues to put him out there to field kicks. It’s been an exciting weekend of college football so far. But the night for Nabers was genuinely bizarre.

Nabers second muffed punt of the game was incredibly costly. With the team trailing seven points late in the fourth quarter, he fumbled a return that set up FSU with excellent field position. Fortunately for the Tigers, FSU gave the ball up a few plays later.

Here’s the second fumble of the night by Nabers.
