North Carolina had 24 second-chance points off of 13 offensive rebounds, while Florida State was held to just six second-chance points. RJ Davis led the Tar Heels with 20 points and five rebounds. Davis moved ahead of Wake Forest's Dickie Hemric for third all-time in ACC career scoring. Seth Tremble scored 17 points on 6-10 shooting. Elliot Cadeau added 10 points and seven assists. For FSU, Jamir Watkins scored a game-high 26 points to go with two rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.
