Notre Dame escaped a tough fight with Radford in its opening game, winning 79-76. Nate Laszewski had a terrific game for the Fighting Irish. He scored 28 points on 7-11 shooting and added 12 rebounds. He also shot 12-15 from the line. Trey Wertz had 18 points on 7-9 shooting, and Ryan Cormac scored 10 points, including the game-winning layup with 9 seconds left.
