Miami trailed by 17 in the second half but had the lead down to seven with 5:39 left in the game. Miami's Lynn Kidd had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Nijel Pack made four three-pointers and had 12 points, four rebounds, and two assists in the game. Tennessee's Chaz Lanier scored a game-high 22 points.
