The Demon Deacons came out with a purpose and never let up, defeating Virginia Tech at home, 86-63. Hunter Sallis paced Wake with 20 points and 9 rebounds. Four other Deacs notched double figures led by Andrew Carr who scored 15 points, and Cam Hildreth and "Boopie" Miller each notched 14 points. Hunter Cattoor and Lynn Kidd each registered 14 points for the Hokies.
