Watch: Wild Iowa State-Kansas sequence leads to incredible alley-oop

Associated Press No. 16 Kansas found gold at the end of a wild sequence at home against No. 8 Iowa State.

The chaos started when Cyclones senior forward Brandton Chatfield (No. 33) deflected a pass from Jayhawks senior center Hunter Dickinson (No. 1), leading to a turnover.

Iowa State senior guard Keshon Gilbert (No. 10) pushed the ball up the court against Dickinson and junior guard AJ Storr (No. 2) but lost the ball, which Kansas senior guard Dajuan Harris (No. 3) slid on the court to recover.

Seconds later, Kansas senior guard David Colt (No. 8) dribbled the other way and connected with senior forward KJ Adams (No. 24) on a half-court pass alley-oop.

With the dunk, the Jayhawks pushed their lead to 14, 33-19, in a pivotal conference game.

Kansas (15-6, 6-4 in Big 12) trails Iowa State (17-4, 7-3 in Big 12) by a game in the Big 12 standings. The Cyclones entered Monday ranked fourth in the conference. At the end of the regular season, the top four teams receive a double-bye in the Big 12 Tournament.

Both Kansas and Iowa State lost on Saturday before playing on a quick turnaround. The Cyclones have dropped three of their past five games, while the Jayhawks lost their first two against ranked Big 12 opponents, including at Iowa State, 74-57, on Jan. 15.
