Former WVU C Jesse Edwards has had an eventual last month after completing his collegiate eligibility. From playing in the Reese’s All-Star Game during the Final Four weekend to the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament to the G League Elite Camp, Edwards now has earned an NBA Draft Combine invite.

Edwards joins Boogie Ellis (USC), Enrique Freeman (Akron), Isaac Jones (Washington State) and Nae’Qwan Tomlin (Memphis) as the five players to move on from the G League Elite Camp to the NBA Draft Combine. The combine will take place over the next week in Chicago.

Edwards averaged 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.7 blocks through 23 games with the Mountaineers. Edwards was sidelined for over a month with a fractured right wrist from mid-December to late-January.

Edwards, who is set to begin a professional career, played in the Reese’s Division-I All-Star Game during the Final Four weekend in Phoenix, Az. The 6-foot-11 big man finished with eight points, nine rebounds and two blocks in 16 minutes. On Sunday, Edwards recorded eight points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks during the final game of the G League Elite Camp session.
