Five more records Caitlin Clark could break in the Final Four

Believe it or not, Iowa's Caitlin Clark still has records to break.

This season, Clark's set the record for most career points in major college basketball history and the single-season records for most points and three-pointers made.

Then on Monday night against LSU, Clark added three more to her resume, including the NCAA Tournament records for points and assists and the career-mark for most made threes.

Chances are she isn't done. Here are five more records Clark could hold by the end of her collegiate career.

Career points per game average

Per HawkCentral.com, Clark entered the Sweet 16 averaging 28.37 points per game, mere decimal points below Mississippi State Valley's Patricia Hoskins, who averaged 28.382 points per game during her four-year career (1986-89).

With 70 points over her past two games, Clark has a career average of 28.5 points per game. If Iowa loses in the national semifinal to UConn, Clark will need 17 points to keep the record. Should the Hawkeyes advance to the championship game, she must average at least 23 points per game in her next two outings, which would put her 0.006 decimal points ahead of Hoskins for the all-time record.

Most career points in NCAA D-I women's tournament history

Clark moved past Brittney Griner (403), Arike Ogunbowale (414), and Diana Taurasi (428) in career tournament points on Monday. She is 40 points shy of breaking Chamique Holdsclaw's record of 479 points, set in 1999 in her 22nd tournament game.

Based on her epic performance against LSU, Clark could set the record in six fewer games. If Iowa makes the title game, she'll be all but guaranteed to break the record against South Carolina or NC State in only her 17th tournament appearance.

Highest points per game average in NCAA D-I women's tournament history

Here's something wild to consider: Clark could be held scoreless in her next two games and still have the record for the highest NCAA Tournament points per game average. She's averaging 29.3 points per game, six more than Kelsey Mitchell, who ranks second among players with at least 10 tournament games at 23.3 points per game. Even without scoring another point, Clark would finish her collegiate career with an average of either 27.5 or 25.9 points per game in the tournament depending on how far Iowa advances.

Most threes in an NCAA Tournament game

Clark nearly broke the record against LSU but settled for a tie for the most all-time with her nine made threes. Can she one-up herself in one of the following two rounds? While she's never made 10 in a game, Clark's range is limitless, and she'll absolutely put up enough attempts to have a chance of setting the mark.

Most points in an NCAA Tournament game

If the record for most threes in a tournament game falls, Clark has a strong chance of breaking the women's NCAA Tournament record for most points in a game that Drake's Lorri Bauman set in 1982. She scored 50 points in the first women's NCAA Tournament and has held on to the record ever since. As NCAA.com notes, her record is particularly impressive considering it came before the women's game introduced the three-point line.
