Watch: South Carolina guard dazzles with jaw-dropping coast-to-coast finish

South Carolina freshman guard MiLaysia Fulwiley made her collegiate debut Monday, helping lead the sixth-ranked Gamecocks to a 100-71 victory against No. 10 Notre Dame.

Late in the second quarter, Fulwiley took an inbound pass coast-to-coast in five seconds, finishing on the other end in dazzling fashion.

The five-star recruit finished with 17 points in 26 minutes off the bench on 8-for-14 shooting, while adding a game-high six steals and six assists. Fulwiley had only one turnover in South Carolina's blowout win.

Her performance drew plenty of praise on social media, including a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, from Hall of Famer Magic Johnson.

Head coach Dawn Staley's crew is looking to rebound from last spring's disappointing finish, when it was eliminated in the national semifinals by Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Gamecocks have made it to three straight Final Fours and won championships in 2017 and 2022.
