The 2024 NFL Draft first round came and went and three former Tigers officially know where their futures rest at the next level. Here’s a look back at where LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels and wide receivers Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr have finally landed.

Quarterback Jayden Daniels sees his 2024 NFL Draft stock reach a peak

That kid Jayden is headed to Washington.

After seemingly endless debates about where the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner should ultimately land in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Commanders ultimately decided that Jayden Daniels was the man for the job, picking him second overall behind only USC quarterback Caleb Williams.

Standing at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, the San Bernardino, CA, product is bringing not only impressive leadership, but some of the best running ability we’ve seen at the quarterback position since current Baltimore Raven Lamar Jackson.

In five years of college football, Daniels totaled 12,749 passing yards, 3,307 rushing yards and a whopping 123 touchdowns to go along with a 72.2 completion percentage this past season.

With his selection by the Washington Commanders , he’ll be paired up with some fantastic offensive weapons including running back Austin Ekeler, wide receiver Terry McLaurin and tight end Zach Ertz.

Wide receiver Malik Nabers bringing electricity to the Big Apple

Heading into the 2024 NFL Draft, the New York Giants were in desperate need of a big-time playmaker, and that’s exactly what they got in the form of LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers at sixth overall.

Interestingly enough, with this draft selection, the 6-foot, 200-pound, Louisiana-based wide receiver has a chance to walk into New York as the best playmaker on the entire Giants offense during the 2024 season.

In his three seasons with the Tiger football program, Nabers put together one of the best wide receiver we’ve ever seen for the purple and gold, logging 189 receptions and 3,003 yards during his career, both of which are LSU records.

He’ll join an offense that includes former Duke star quarterback Daniel Jones and fellow young pass catchers Wan’Dale Robinson (Kentucky) and Jalin Hyatt (Tennessee).

From one big cat to another for wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr

And finally, with the 23rd pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars have selected wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr out of LSU.

Coming off by far the best year of his college football career, Thomas Jr – a 6-foot-4, 205-pound pass catcher out of Walker, LA – is now set to join an offense that has the potential to be one of the most improved in the entire NFL this coming year.

With talented young quarterback Trevor Lawrence, shifty running back Trevor Etienne Jr and veteran wide receiver Gabe Davis, the Jaguars were already looking solid heading into the 2024 season. Now, in adding a big-bodied wide receiver who led college football with 17 touchdowns in 2023, they could be plenty of fun to watch moving forward.

The 2024 NFL Draft will continue its hot start in Detroit, MI, tomorrow, Friday, April 26, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. CST and will be available to watch live on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network.
