Ozzy Trapilo is a 2025 NFL Draft prospect with the bloodlines as his father Steve was an All-American who also attended Boston College, where Ozzy followed in his footsteps. Trapilo is more advanced as a pass blocker than as a run blocker, as his upper body power helps neutralize edge rushers in pass protection. He is sound with his stance in pass sets, has active hands, and has good arm extension. However, Trapilo has not shown the ability to move the pile in run blocking consistently. He projects to do better against power rushers, rather than speedy edge rushers who have a sound counter-rush move.
Trapilo was a four-star recruit by 247Sports and Rivals out of Boston College High School in the 2020 recruiting class. He made 12 starts in his first two seasons after redshirting, and in 2023, he made Second-Team All-ACC in 2023, and then in 2024, he made First-team All-ACC and started all of Boston College’s games in the last two seasons.
His father, Steve passed away in 2024. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 1987 and played for them from 1987-92.

Day Three (Fourth-Fifth Round)
Ozzy Trapilo is a unique prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft in which his pass protection is more advanced than his run blocking. However, he can get better at run blocking by punching power, and his strength in a more “traditional pro offense” i.e. pocket passing, power running game mixed with some play action. All in all, if he can work on his technique in run blocking, he will be a successful, starting-caliber right tackle in the NFL within the first couple of years of his career, but in the meantime, he would be able to be a swing tackle to start.
