The 2025 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and we've got you covered with in-depth scouting reports on all of the top prospects at every position in this year's class.

Here's everything you need to know about Arkansas edge defender Landon Jackson heading into the 2025 draft:

Vitals

Height: 6-7

Weight: 280

Age: 22

Strengths

There aren’t many prospects in this class who bring Jackson’s massive frame to the table, and he’s just as powerful as you’d expect him to be. His size and length make him a handful for any offensive lineman, regardless of where Jackson is lined up. He uses his strength and length to stack and shed blockers effectively in the running game, and he relies on the same to collapse the pocket and get after the quarterback. He’s got a nonstop motor, never giving up on a pass-rushing rep, and chasing down running plays from the back side. Jackson has violent hands that combine with his wingspan to make him a handful at the point of attack, and he’s adept at getting penetration when looping inside.

Weaknesses

Jackson’s speed and overall athleticism doesn’t jump off the tape, and he’s limited when it comes to short-area quickness to adjust to shifty backs and more athletic quarterbacks in space. That lack of ideal movement skills makes it difficult for him to be effective when asked to drop into coverage or make solo plays out in space, likely limiting his scheme fits and responsibilities at the next level. He can win with power and technique as a pass rusher, but he lacks the bend and burst to threaten with speed off the edge. Like most players with taller frames, it’s a constant challenge for Jackson to maintain low pad level.

Final Analysis

He brings some intriguing physical traits to the table, and Jackson’s combination of size, length and strength alone should give him some inside/outside versatility at the next level. His ceiling will likely be limited by his lack of top-shelf athleticism and explosiveness, but Jackson’s huge frame, long arms, and nonstop motor will be enough to get him on the field and allow him to carve out an every-down role for the right team.
