The 2025 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and we've got you covered with in-depth scouting reports on all of the top prospects at every position in this year's class.

Here's everything you need to know about Iowa State wide receiver Jaylin Noel heading into the 2025 draft:

Vitals

Height: 5-11

Weight: 200

Age: 22

Strengths

A smooth route-runner with impressive short-area quickness, Noel makes polished patterns look effortless, creating consistent separation with clean footwork and fluid hips. He knows how to set up defenders with subtle movements, getting lost in blind spots just before he breaks off a route to create maximum space. He’s aggressive when attacking the ball in the air, showing strong hands that aren’t afraid of traffic at the catch point. He’s a well-built receiver who excels after the catch, with the physicality to break tackles and enough burst to churn out extra yards quickly. Noel is a smart, instinctive player who has the versatility to line up on the outside or in the slot.

Weaknesses

Built more like a running back, Noel isn’t the kind of above-the-rim presence who can out-muscle bigger defensive backs. He’s got adequate straight-line speed, but he’s much more effective in short bursts than when tasked with challenging opposing defenses vertically over the top. His effort as a blocker is commendable, but Noel’s lack of size makes it challenging for him to hold off more powerful defenders at the point of attack. Every now and then, you’ll see a head-scratching drop on what should have been a routine catch.

Final Analysis

Noel’s alignment versatility and route-running ability are two valuable traits, and his big-play ability should allow him to make an immediate impact at the next level. What he lacks in size, he makes up for by creating separation, and his ability to line up all over the field will be a positive for any NFL offensive coordinator.

Current Projection: 2nd Round
