The 2025 NFL Draft is right around the corner, and we've got you covered with in-depth scouting reports on all of the top prospects at every position in this year's class.

Here's everything you need to know about Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson:

Vitals

Height: 5-10

Weight: 208

Age: 22

Strengths

The complete package as a running back prospect, Henderson is a big-play machine thanks to his explosiveness, vision, and overall athleticism. He’s a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands, with the straight-line speed to take any catch or carry to the house, and also the short-area quickness and burst to change directions at the drop of a hat. He can stop, start, and get back to 100 miles an hour in a hurry, making it difficult for opponents to bottle him up in space. He’s tough enough to run through first contact and create extra yardage, and he adds a ton of value to the passing game with his reliable hands and the ability to turn check-downs and screens into big plays.

Weaknesses

Durability will be Henderson’s biggest question mark at the next level, having dealt with multiple injuries throughout his college career. Though he’s a reliable pass-catcher out of the backfield, he needs to improve his pass-blocking technique to be a true every-down presence for an NFL offense. As a runner, sometimes Henderson’s pads can get ahead of his feet, leading to balance issues and missed opportunities to rack up extra yardage, especially when there’s contact involved.

Final Analysis

There may be questions about Henderson’s ability to shoulder a full load as a featured back at the next level because of his injury history, but when healthy, he’s been a big-play machine for the Buckeyes. Keeping him in a committee situation at the next level could help mitigate his injury issues, and make the most of his impressive skill set on all three downs with some technical improvements as both a runner and a pass-blocker.
