Stats
Route Tree
McMillan can trace every route with the same effectiveness. He shows the ability to run the slant, screen, comeback, and out in the short route category. Meanwhile, the drag, post and dig and post gives the prospect a chance in the intermediate routes, while the fade and fly see the six-foot-five Hawaii product battling with defensive backs down the field.
In the NFL, route nuance separates the average from the very good. McMillan needs that route specificity as he does not possess a breakaway burst to cover him.
Athleticism
Similar to Atlanta Falcons' wideout Drake London, McMillan gets vertical with long strides and build-up speed. Meaning, instead of quick-twist burst off the snap, he takes a few yards to get moving.
Against smaller corners, they will not fall for double moves simply because they can win based on recovery speed. Now, McMillan is not slow. When he gets vertically, he can slightly pull away from defenders.
On the other hand, the prospect shines with excellent body control, catch radius and high-pointing the ball. He easily elevates over opponents, fighting for the football, like either an entry pass or a rebound. Speaking of, listed at 212 pounds, if he can get stronger, that will help him against NFL corners that will test his physicality.
Raiders Fit
Despite nabbing his first thousand-yard season, is a complementary wideout that operates a great deal from the slot. During his two years in Las Vegas, he provided quarterbacks with a sure-handed target that gives just enough wiggle to provide some yards after catch (293 YAC in 2024).
With that said, the Raiders need a number-one wideout. With the sixth-overall pick, McMillan fills the void. In the red zone, Vegas struggles with crossing the goal line, connecting on 48.89% of their attempts, ranking twenty-seventh overall in the league. Between the twenties, where teams usually exist,
McMillan gives the Raiders an unconventional vertical threat. Regardless of whoever lines up behind center, they will enjoy a big wideout that presents a challenge to defenses. The former Arizona Wildcat averaged 15.7 while piling up eighty-four catches.
