The LSU Tigers gained a huge commitment earlier in the week when they poached five-star wide receiver, Tristen Keys, away from Mississippi. Today, they reached to another neighboring state and nabbed four-star cornerback, Dylan Purter, from Alabama.

Purter is a 6-foot-1, 172-pound cornerback from Tuskegee, Alabama and plays his high school ball at Booker T. Washington. He chose the Tigers over Bill Belichick and the University of North Carolina Tar Heels and Kentucky Wildcats.
Purter adds to an LSU 2026 class that already ranks No. 1 in the nation according to the On3 Industry Rankings. He becomes the Tigers' eighth commit in the 2026 class and the second defensive back, joining four-star safety and New Orleans native, Aiden Hall.
LSU's top-rated class now includes a five-star in Tristen Keys, six four-stars and one three-star. They are ranked just above the No. 2 USC Trojans, No. 3 Oregon Ducks, No. 4 Texas A&M Aggies and No. 5 Auburn Tigers.
Corey Raymond adds his first corner in 2026 class as he continues to try to rebuild 'DBU.' He's doing a great job so far with guys like DJ Pickett and Mansoor Delane, and now he hopes he's found another future starter at the CB position.
