Texas Tech has landed one of the top wideouts in the 2026 cycle.
Four-star receiver Chase Campbell announced his commitment to the Red Raiders on Tuesday, choosing Joey McGuire’s program over offers from Baylor, Kansas State, and several others across the Big 12.

Campbell is rated as the No. 8 wide receiver in the country by Rivals and is widely regarded as one of the most explosive playmakers in Texas. Listed at 6-foot-2, he turned in a monster junior season with over 1,500 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns, plus added value as a runner and returner.
Texas Tech offered early in his recruitment and maintained the pressure. That early investment, along with Campbell’s ties to the program and a standout visit in June, sealed the deal. He announced his decision just days after a trip to Lubbock, where he took in practice and spent time with Red Raider legend Michael Crabtree.
Campbell joins a surging 2026 class in Lubbock that already includes five-star OL Felix Ojo. His addition pushes Texas Tech into the top three in the Big 12 recruiting rankings and further bolsters an offense built around speed and verticality.
For a program looking to turn recruiting wins into on-field results, this is another step in the right direction. And for McGuire and staff, it’s another proof point that elite in-state talent is still very much within reach.
