One of the best weekends of college football in recent memory was full of surprises out of the SEC. Following all of the action in Week 7, the odds to win the 2026 SEC Championship have been updated on the Polymarket app, as of Wednesday morning.
Two ranked SEC teams lost in Week 7, as No. 1 Georgia fell to Auburn and No. 7 Texas lost to Florida. There were also three games between ranked teams in the league, as No. 14 Tennessee hosted No. 6 Alabama, No. 9 Ole Miss hosted No. 13 Missouri, and No. 22 LSU hosted No. 16 Mississippi State.
So with a ton of intriguing games across the league, the odds have shifted. There are also some signficant changes in this week’s AP Poll, and in fact, every single one of the teams in the top 25 moved at least one spot.
Texas A&M didn’t face an SEC opponent in Week 7, but they were in action. The Aggies hosted The Citadel in a non-conference game and dominated in a 41-0 victory. It was an important win, as they entered the week having lost three of their last four.
Now, Texas A&M is 4-3 overall and 1-3 in league play. Next up, they’ll hit the road for a trip to Tuscaloosa to take on No. 13 Alabama. It’s the first of back-to-back road games and a stretch of three out of four away from home.
Arkansas entered Week 7 having lost two in a row and four of its last five games. Then, the Razorback went to Nashville and beat Vanderbilt 31-21 for their first conference win of the season.
Now, they sit at 3-4 overall and 1-3 in conference play. Arkansas returns home this week to take on No. 22 Missouri on Saturday night, hoping to build some more momentum as they enter the final stretch.
Vanderbilt’s season has been a tale of two stories. One before SEC play, and another during it. In non-conference, the Commodores were 3-0 to start the year. After falling 31-21 to Arkansas on Saturday, they’ve now dropped four games in a row.
That’s right, that’s an 0-4 start to league play. The road doesn’t get any easier, either, with two straight road games coming up starting this weekend at No. 12 Kentucky. Four of Vanderbilt’s five remaining games are against currently ranked opponents.
South Carolina got back on track in Week 6 with a 38-19 win at Florida. The win sent the Gamecocks into their bye week, and also snapped a three-game losing streak to open league play.
Fresh off of the bye, they’re back at home on Saturday in Week 8. No. 11 Tennessee will be in town to kick off the second half of South Carolina’s schedule. It’s one of two games against currently ranked opponents left for the Gamecocks.
Oklahoma entered Week 7 on a high, coming off of a win in the Red River Rivalry over Texas the previous week. They were unable to carry that success over into the week, though, instead falling 21-13 against Kentucky.
The Sooners now sit at 3-3 on the season and 1-2 in league games. They now hit the road in Week 8 for a trip to Mississippi State to begin the second half of their season.
After a 4-0 start to the year, Mississippi State has lost two games in a row. This past weekend, it came in a disappointing 31-0 loss in Baton Rouge at the hands of LSU. The Bulldogs were without QB Kamario Taylor in the game as he sat out with an injury.
Now, they sit at 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the SEC. Looking to get back in the win column, Mississippi State will return home to host Oklahoma on Saturday in Week 8.
Missouri entered Week 7 sitting at 5-1 overall and 2-1 in conference play. However, they stumbled on the road at Ole Miss and lost 31-3. Austin Simmons threw for 339 yards in the defeat, but it wasn’t enough.
Now at 5-2 overall and 2-2 in league play, the Tigers are on bye in Week 8. When they return to action, they’ll be on the road at Arkansas in Week 9 to finish October.
Auburn entered the week 3-2 overall and 1-2 in SEC play, with nobody giving them much of a chance against top-ranked Georgia. The Tigers had different plans, going into Athens and stunning the Bulldogs 27-24.
Still, Auburn is tied for the worst odds to win the league on the Polymarket app. They’re now 4-2 overall and 2-2 in league games heading into this weekend’s home matchup against No. 18 LSU.
Florida came into Week 7 in need of a win to stop a two-game skid, and they got just that with a 27-24 win on the road at Texas. The Gators were without starting QB Aaron Philo due to injury, with Tramell Jones Jr. starting in his place.
They’re now 5-2 on the season, and 3-2 against SEC opponents. Next up for Florida is a bye in Week 8 before hosting No. 5 Georgia in Week 9.
Texas’ 27-24 loss to Florida this past weekend was their second 27-24 loss in a row, the week prior coming against Oklahoma. Now, the Longhorns sit at 4-2 on the season and 1-2 in league play.
Arch Manning’s struggles have gotten a lot of attention. His ability to turn things around will surely play a key role in how the rest of Texas’ season goes. They’re back at home for two straight starting this weekend against No. 7 Ole Miss, another tough matchup.
LSU dominated from beginning to end on Saturday against Mississippi State. The Tigers never had a doubt, and cruised their way to a 31-0 win to improve to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in SEC play.
Next up for LSU is a trip to Auburn to take on a team that just upset Georgia. After that, they’ll have three ranked games in a row against Alabama, Texas and Tennessee.
There’s no denying Kentucky as a legitimate SEC and College Football Playoff threat at this point. The Wildcats just went on the road and beat Oklahoma 21-13, their fifth consecutive victory.
Kentucky now sits at 6-1 on the season, and 4-1 in conference play. They’re back at home against Vanderbilt in Week 8 before ranked games against Tennessee, Florida and Missouri the following three weeks.
Tennessee has responded in perfect fashion to its Week 4 loss against Texas. Since then, the Volunteers are 3-0, including a 26-10 win against Alabama in Week 7.
Now, the Vols look like a legitimate threat in the conference sitting at 6-1 overall and 3-1 in league play. They’ll look to stay hot on the road this weekend as they travel to South Carolina.
Nobody wrote Alabama off after they fell to Georgia two weeks ago, but this past weekend created some real concern. The Crimson Tide went to Knoxville and fell 26-10 against Tennessee in a disappointing effort.
Alabama is now 5-2 on the season and 3-2 in SEC play. They’re back at home this weekend to take on Texas A&M before road trips at LSU and Vanderbilt the following two weeks.
Ole Miss is firing on all cylinders right now after falling to Florida at the end of September. The Rebels have won two games in a row, most recently 31-3 against Missouri this past Saturday. That’s a combined score of 83-20 over the last two weeks. Pretty impressive.
The Rebels are now 5-1 on the season and 3-1 in SEC play. They’ll be tested once again this weekend, hitting the road for a game at No. 19 Texas on Saturday night.
Georgia improved to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the SEC after beating Alabama in Tuscaloosa in Week 6, taking over as the consensus top-ranked team in the sport. However, the Bulldogs fell against Auburn on Saturday.
The Tigers won 27-24 to hand the Bulldogs a stunning loss, their first of the season. Now, Georgia has three ranked games in a row coming out of their bye in Week 8. It starts with No. 20 Florida in Week 9.
