Jackson Academy (Miss.) offensive tackle Caden Moss is already drawing a ton of major interest leading into his junior season. He recently spoke with 247Sports' Brandon Huffman about the short list of programs sticking out early on.

"I'm trying to get to Texas, Ohio State, Florida, Georgia and Alabama for games," said Moss.

He tells Huffman he Ohio State, Texas, Florida, Alabama, and Ole Miss are the ones standing out early on.

Ole Miss has had a good run of luck inside the state of Mississippi for the No. 1 overall prospect.

Three years in a row, the Rebels have signed the top recruit – starting with five-star linebacker Suntarine Perkins in 2023. Then, it was four-star defensive lineman Kamarion Franklin. And last cycle, Lane Kiffin signed five-star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham. Will the streak continue in 2026?

Right now, five-star Hattiesburg (Miss.) wide receiver Tristen Keys is committed to LSU. Most folks in Ole Miss circles remained confident with the 6-foot-3, 180 pound prospect continuing to show up on campus in the spring and early summer. But, Ole Miss coordinator of recruiting Kelvin Bolden left for an assistant general manager position at LSU, so it could have changed some things.

Moss is keen on Kiffin's approach to how he's being recruited and feels wanted.

"Coach (Lane) Kiffin treats me as a top priority for sure," said Moss. "Every time I go down there to Oxford, it's nothing but love and they treat me with love."

As of this writing, he planning on taking trips to Ole Miss, Texas, Ohio State, Florida, and Alabama for games this fall.

Ohio State and Alabama have Moss' attention alongside the Ole Miss Rebels.

"Coach (Tyler) Bowen develops guys at every level and he's coached at every level," said Moss.

"I've got a very strong connection with coach Kap (Chris Kapilovic)," said Moss. "When I went down there for camp, I brought my family down and showed them around and he's just a really good guy."

The Texas Longhorns are also on the hunt for the blue chip offensive lineman. He recently spoke with Rivals' Chad Simmons about his interest in the new SEC program.

“Coach Flood was around me a lot. After we camped, we talked some and that is when he offered me. He is a great coach and I like the relationship I am building with him. Seeing Texas for the first time was great too. It was so big and the scenery was great. I am hoping to see a game there this season.”

Florida and Ohio State round out the top group he got a chance to lay eyes on who impressed.

“Those Mississippi connections stood out at Florida and Ohio State. Florida’s coach Gibbs has been talking to me a lot and he is from Brandon (Miss.). I like our relationship and after the visit, I am building relationships with coach Sale and coach DeCosta too. I had a great time down there.

“When I was at Ohio State, I was the only 2027 guy on campus. They had some official visitors there, but they still showed me around, gave me the campus tour and spent time with me. I like coach Bowen a lot. He showed me a lot of what they do with offensive linemen and he is a great coach. Coach Marcus Johnson, one of coach Bowen’s assistants, is from Mississippi too. He coached my offensive line coach in high school, so we have a connection.”
