The Sun Devils of Arizona State are the reigning Big 12 Conference champions. ASU will be looking to repeat as such as they return 18 starters from a team that shocked the college football world last season by going 11-3 and earning a berth in the College Football Playoff.
In addition, the Sun Devils welcome 12 new players from the transfer portal, part of a transfer class ranked 34th according to On3.
With so many starters returning, including quarterback Sam Leavitt, the transfers will provide valuable depth to a stacked roster. Some will replace departed star players. Here are three of those transfers to watch as the Sun Devils prepare to begin spring practice.
After two seasons as a cadet at Army, Udoh comes to the Sun Devils as a productive running back. Last season, Udoh rushed for 1,117 yards and 10 touchdowns and earned second-team All-American Athletic Conference honors.

He averaged 6.24 yards per carry. Udoh posted five games of 100+ yards rushing and three with multiple rushing touchdowns. With Cam Skattebo moving on to the NFL, Udoh fills the void left behind in the Sun Devils backfield.
While the Sun Devils return their top receiver in Jordyn Tyson, Moss will serve as an additional weapon for Leavitt. Moss caught 48 passes for 563 yards and four touchdowns. In addition, Moss recorded 231 punt return yards with one touchdown, so his versatility will come in handy.

With three INTs with the Boilermakers, Breedlove would have tied for the lead in that category with Arizona State. In addition, Breedlove recorded 40 tackles and broke up four passes. Breedlove could move into a starting role at the nickel back position for a unit that ranked in the top 15 in the FBS in INTs.

Breedlove led Purdue in interceptions last season. Another ballhawk for the ASU secondary. https://t.co/XXKoMKwmxw
ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham and his staff have an embarrassment of riches to work with as the team begins its defense of their Big 12 championship.
