3 Days till Kickoff for BYU

The College Football Season is getting closer. With 3 days left until BYU kickoffs against South Florida let’s get to know some players on the roster for this upcoming season. This will give fans an idea of where these players have come from and what they could do for the cougars this season. I will do one every day there is a player with that number.

Chaz Ah You

Today is Chaz Ah You senior linebacker 6-2 222 lbs. Before coming to BYU he played for West lake High School. He was also recruited by Stanford, UCLA, Washington, Notre Dame, Michigan, Oregon, Wisconsin, Utah, California, Washington State, Oregon State, Missouri, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Kansas, Arizona State, Iowa, Louisville, Oklahoma State, and Duke. Starting his time at BYU in 2017 he played in seven games that season and had nine tackles. In 2019 he played in 11 games and had 31 tackles, one sack, one interception, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and three pass breakups. He didn’t play in 2020. Last season he played in six games and had 32 tackles, one quarterback hit, and two pass breakups. He hasn’t been listed on the depth chart for this week’s one game.

Jaren Hall

Today is Jaren Hall junior quarterback 6-1 205 lbs. Before coming to BYU he played for Maple Mountain High School. He served his mission in Roseville, California. Starting his time in 2018 when he played in two games and rushed for four yards. In 2019 he played in seven games and threw for 420 yards and one touchdown. He also rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns. Didn’t play in 2020. Last season played in nine games and threw for 2434 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also rushed for 215 yards and three touchdowns. Hall is the starting quarterback for the 2022 season and is ready to lead the cougars to another successful season.
