It’s that time of year again, Michigan football fans. This weekend, three of the Wolverines’ top NFL Draft prospects will showcase their athletic abilities in the 2023 Senior Bowl — all three are as deserving as anyone and should make an impression on the NFL’s top scouts.

Three Wolverines invited to the Senior Bowl

This Saturday (February 4), three Wolverines will don the Winged Helmet one last time for the Senior Bowl. All three of Michigan’s Senior Bowl prospects are from Michigan’s 6th-ranked total offense and scoring offense from its 13-1 Big Ten title-winning team in 2022.

Ronnie Bell

First, senior wide receiver Ronnie Bell will take the field, hoping to make a splash with the scouts. Bell has seen a great career in Ann Arbor — he played five seasons as a Wolverine (2018-2022) — and though he saw some ups and downs, he ended up being one of the Wolverines’ best receivers of the Harbaugh’era.

After being sidelined with a knee injury for the final 13.5 games of the 2021 Michigan football season, Ronnie Bell saw an incredible comeback season in 2022. The graduate senior posted career highs in many statistical categories, such as receptions and receiving yards (62/889). Bell caught four touchdown passes throughout the Wolverines’ 2022 season and was one of JJ McCarthy’s favorite targets.

Ryan Hayes, Olu Oluwatimi

Along with Ronnie Bell are two standout offensive linemen. In 2022, Michigan offensive tackle Ryan Hayes and transfer center Olu Oluwatimi helped Michigan football win back-to-back Joe Moore Awards — given to the nation’s top offensive line annually.

Olu also won the Rimington Award (best center) and the Outland Trophy (best interior lineman) for his service in the Maize and Blue last season.

All three Michigan football players competing in the Senior Bowl could use some assistance with their draft stock as of right now, and there is no better time than the Senior Bowl to show out in front of scouts and coaches.
