The College Football Season is getting closer. With 41 days left until BYU kickoffs against South Florida let’s get to know some players on the roster for this upcoming season. This will give fans an idea of where these players have come from and what they could do for the cougars this season. I will do one every day there is a player with that number.

Keenan Pili

Today is Keenan Pili junior linebacker 6-3 233 lbs from Provo, Utah. He went to Timpview high and helped the T-birds to an 11-2 record with an undefeated record in regional play before appearing in the 4A state championship game. After he served his mission in Florida for two years and returned to BYU in 2019.  Pili joined the roster in 2016 and will finish this year or next. He isn’t sure what his future holds yet. He joins his brother Trajan who also plays linebacker for the Cougars.

Playing linebacker for BYU he has had 128 tackles, two sacks, and one fumble recovery. Last season Pili only played in three games before going down with a torn ACL. In the Arizona game, he had 17 tackles after that many were excited to see what he would do for the Cougars as the season went on. He had seven tackles in the Arizona State game before leaving with an injury. At media day he said he is expected to be fully cleared to start fall camp in August.
