49ers conduct pre-draft interview with Arkansas OL Beaux Limmer
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Justin Melo of The Draft Network reports that the San Francisco 49ers recently conducted a virtual interview with former Arkansas offensive lineman Beaux Limmer. After focusing on defense in free agency, the Niners are likely looking to bolster their offensive line through the 2024 NFL Draft, which begins in a month.

As Melo states, Limmer's 39 bench press reps were the most of any player at the NFL Scouting Combine this year. USC offensive lineman Jarrett Kingston ranked second with seven fewer.

Additionally, at the NFL Scouting Combine, the 6' 4 5/8" and 302-pound Limmer posted a 40-yard dash time of 5.22 seconds, a vertical jump of 36.5 inches, a broad jump of nine feet, 2 inches, a 7.47-second three-cone drill time, and a 20-yard shuttle time of 4.57 seconds.

"Limmer brings center/guard flexibility and a wealth of starting experience in the challenging SEC," Lance Zierlein wrote in the player's NFL.com scouting report. "He has decent upper-body strength and good lower-body flexibility to provide leverage, but he could use additional mass on his frame. His clear eyes and accurate block entries give him early leads in the initial phase as a run blocker, and he maintains active feet to stay connected to his blocks over the first and second level."

Limmer allowed 12 pressures and three sacks in 422 pass-blocking snaps last season while playing the majority of his snaps at center, per Pro Football Focus. Before that, the offensive lineman took most of his snaps with the Razorbacks at right guard.

According to the analytics site, Limmer's best season came in 2022 when he earned career-high overall (82.2), run-blocking (82.3), and pass-blocking (81.3) grades.
