The Ole Miss football team is undergoing a transition this offseason as they switch from Jaxson Dart to Austin Simmons under center. Head coach Lane Kiffin is also keeping an eye toward the future, however, as he continues to offer quarterbacks in the 2026 class. Four-star athlete Jett Goldsberry was recently on campus and earned an offer from the Rebels, and he caught up with Steve Wiltfong from On3 Sports about his experience.
“The visit was amazing!” Goldsberry said. “Ole Miss is definitely high on my board after that visit, and I’m excited to get back there for sure! Going to set an (official visit) up with them in June!”
Goldsberry is a 6-foot, 195-pound player from Lincoln City, Indiana. He currently has 21 Division I offers, including schools like North Carolina, Rutgers, Vanderbilt and Purdue. Ole Miss was just his second SEC offer, but it seems like the Rebels are high on the Heritage Hills High School product.
Ole Miss is also in the running for five-star Ryder Lyons and four-star Landon Duckworth, but Coach Kiffin and the Rebels need a contingency plan if both of those highly-coveted recruits commit to other programs. Goldsberry is also a multi-sport athlete, which is something that Kiffin has prioritized in the past, and while he is not the biggest prospect, his production has been undeniable through three years of high school football.
