The Pitt Panthers Class of 2024 took a hit on Sunday night as 4-star running back Yasin Willis flipped his commitment from the Panthers over to Syracuse.
Prior to that news, Pat Narduzzi’s team had six 4-star recruits and that Class of 2024 was ranked No. 30 by Rivals.com.
The news could’ve been a lot worse, but a top member of Pitt’s Class went to Twitter and wanted to make sure everyone knew where he stood.
4-star defensive end Sincere Edwards is an elite defensive prospect and plenty of programs around the country are aware of his talent. So, despite being verbally committed to Pitt, other programs continued to try and recruit him, hoping that he could change his mind.
Unfortunately for them and fortunately for Pitt, Edwards is sticking with his decision. On Monday, Edwards posted this on Twitter.
I want to thank everyone and every school that recruited me throughout this process. With that being said, I will officially be shutting down my recruitment!

Prior to committing to Pitt, Edwards had a Final Five of Pitt, Penn State, Central Florida, South Florida and Maryland.
Pitt’s four other 4-star recruits include linebacker Cam Lindsey, defensive tackle Jahsear Whittington, defensive tackle Francis Brewu and offensive guard Caleb Holmes.
