4-Star Recruit's Mother Sends Clear Message After Son's Visit to Michigan Wolverines

The Michigan Wolverines have made plenty of noise off the field this season as the program's recruiting exploits have become front page news.

The Wolverines' Class of 2026 is shaping up to be a strong one although it still boasts just nine commitments headed toward fall camp in Ann Arbor for the university's current team.

This weekend, recruiting news broke on prospects throughout the country as Michigan and other top teams pursued the latest crop of future stars.

One of them could be Travis Johnson, a four-star receiver from Michigan who made his official visit this weekend and was the subject of an enthusiastic take from his mother on social media.

"Go Blue!!" Ms. Tiffany Johnson, mother of four-star Class of 2026 receiver Travis Johnson, said on X as she retweeted news of her son's visit to Michigan.

She included pictures of her son with head coach Sherrone Moore and receivers coach Ron Bellamy as she shared the update.

Johnson is a 6-foot-3, 185 pound prospect from Chesapeake, Virginia who counts offers from Michigan, the Penn State Nittany Lions, Virginia Tech Hokies, South Carolina Gamecocks and Indiana Hoosiers.

He is listed as a top ten player in the state of Virginia and reportedly has become a priority for the Wolverines, according to his agent Latish Kinsler of Lifestyle Sports Agency.

"We know how much they value Travis," Kinsler said according to On3.com's EJ Holland.

Jaylen Pile is Michigan's lone wide receiver recruit in the 2026 class, a sign that Michigan could begin ramping up its pursuit at the position in the coming weeks.
