5 NFL Landing Spots For Shedeur Are 'OK' With Deion Sanders

Deion Sanders insisted he won't play any factor in which team drafts Shedeur Sanders.

In an interview with Skip Bayless, Sanders acknowledged that his son has a preferred landing spot. However, Coach Prime has no issues with any team inside the top 10 most commonly linked to Shedeur.

"Shedeur has told me, he's talked to me intently about all the visits he's had with all the teams," Deion said. "So I know where his heart is. I know where he wants to go."

"If it's New York, it's New York. If it's Tennessee, if it's Cleveland, if it's still the Raiders, if it's New Orleans, if it's any of those teams that are seeking a quarterback, I'm happy with it. Because I know what he's gonna do to the organization."

Of course, any discussion with Bayless circles back to the Dallas Cowboys. The pundit asked the Hall of Famer how he'd feel if Shedeur fell to No. 12 and his former team decided to pounce.

"I don't know, but that would be kind," Deion said. "If he's plunging, make sure you stay down there and grab Shilo, too."

Some may wonder if there's at least one team the Sanders family should avoid following chatter from the NFL Combine. Earlier this month, Josina Anderson reported that a quarterbacks coach of a team possessing a top-seven pick called Shedeur "brash" and "arrogant."

Deion said he knew the team Anderson was referring to and had a "candid conversation" with the head coach, who told Deion they had a "great interview" with Shedeur.

Meanwhile, speculation has run rampant that Deion Sanders will maneuver to ensure Shedeur lands with their preferred destination. He's fueled that talk by previously saying he'd step in to shield his son from a poor organizational fit.

However, the Colorado head coach told Bayless he has no plans to intervene.

"That's not God's will right now," Deion said. "I want Shedeur to do what he's consistently done: excel against all odds. I like the hating. I like the naysaying. I like the ignorance because it makes us feel better about what we do, and it gives him another chip on his shoulder."
